the pour speed of this teapot is excellent.

When pouring, the water stream is strong and concentrated.
The lid remains stable even during fast pouring.

The pour remains focused even during fast pouring,
which helps maintain rhythm during gongfu brewing.

Because this Gong Chun shape has a relatively round body,
the tea develops a fuller texture after the second infusion.

The ball filter of this teapot is crafted very well by the artist, allowing you to clearly see every single hole. This is also one of the reasons why the pour speed is excellent.

Although not all fully handmade teapots have an inside mark, the inside mark on this teapot serves as good evidence of its fully handmade craftsmanship.

Among several Gong Chun teapots from this firing batch,
we selected two piece because of their unusually calm body proportion and stable lid fit.

The kiln firing also created subtle mineral variation across the surface,
which will become more visible after repeated brewing.

Unlike highly symmetrical modern teapots,
traditional Gong Chun shape intentionally preserve irregularity and organic tension.

The form imitates natural tree galls,
which is why experienced collectors often value texture and asymmetry over mechanical perfection.

Compared with thinner Zhuni teapots,
this kiln-fired lao (aged) duan ni Gong Chun does not emphasize high aroma expression.

Instead, it focuses more on texture, softness, and depth.

the konb of the small gongfutea teapot
"According to feedback from customers who have purchased the same Gongchun model, this kind of Gongchun shape produced a noticeably thicker mouthfeel after the second infusion. Compared to thinner zhuni teapots, the aroma projection is more subdued, but the texture of the rock tea (yancha) becomes fuller and calmer."

More about siyutao Teapots

1.Pure Local Clay — Siyutao is based in Dingshu, Yixing. All teapots use locally mined, hand-sorted raw purple clay, refined solely with water for absolute purity.

2.Natural Mineral Scent — Rinsed with hot water, the teapot gives off only a faint, rain-soaked earthy aroma—often barely noticeable.

3.No Added Pigments — Colors come purely from natural ores and high-temperature firing. The subtle hues and texture cannot be replicated with artificial pigments.

4.Traditional Firing & Matte Texture — No waxing. Running your fingers over the surface reveals a slightly raspy, sandy feel. Under sunlight, it shows a soft, matte luster.

5.Natural Grain — Symbiotic minerals are preserved during grinding, giving the teapot its distinctive natural granular texture.

6.Fully Handmade — True value lies in elegant form and artistic presence. Ordinary handmade pots often lack proportion; Siyutao’s are refined, graceful, and unique.

7.Ergonomically Tested — Every teapot is individually tested. The handle, body balance, and pouring mechanics are perfectly aligned—just a gentle fingertip press is needed, with no wrist strain.
