In the 1970s, Pan gained recognition in Shanghai for his flowerpots, which became particularly popular among Japanese collectors. Subsequently, selected for specialized training by the factory, he focused on crafting square teapots—a genre in which he excelled. While drawing inspiration from historical designs, Pan infused his own creative vision, resulting in works that appear simple yet innovative, embodying a distinctive and personal style.
