Her Story:

Born in 1940 into a family of potters in Yixing, Gao Lijun started her journey at the Zisha Craft Factory in 1955. She learned from the great master Zhu Kexin and later received guidance from other renowned artists, Jiang Rong and Wang Yinchun.

For over sixty years, she has dedicated her life to this art. Many of her works are even protected by national patents! Some of her most famous pieces include:

Singing Cicada Melon Teapot

Redwood and Yew Tea Set

Her Pumpkin series

These works have won many awards at national exhibitions and are now kept in museums for everyone to appreciate.

Passing on the Craft:

Master Gao has taught over 300 students! To continue her work, she founded the "Noble Clay Shapes Square and Round" Zisha Art Research Center at 78 Gongyuan Road in Dingshu Town. There, she creates new designs, teaches the next generation, and shares her culture.
