She has been learning the craft of making purple clay teapots from her mother since childhood and has accumulated 37 years of professional experience. She subsequently became a disciple of Senior Arts and Crafts Artist Bao Li’an and Chinese Ceramic Art Master He Daohong. In recent years, commissioned by the Yixing Ceramic Industry Association, she has given live teapot-making demonstrations in Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Ordos, Changchun, and other places. Her works are simple yet majestic, dynamic and elegant; her teapot-making skills are consummate and masterly. Her unique spirit of craftsmanship and dedication to public welfare have been covered by numerous media outlets. Over the course of her career, she pursued further studies at the Art Department of Nanjing College of Economics and Trade, the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu Institute of Light Industry, China Academy of Art, Jingdezhen Ceramic University, among others, thereby further enhancing her craft theory and ceramic design foundation. Through years of creation, she has developed a personal style characterized by “fresh and clear artistic charm, ethereal imagery,” adhering to the philosophy that a teapot possesses form and should be both dignified and generous, and that a teapot embodies spirit and should carry virtue, thus achieving artistic treasures. Since embarking on her artistic journey, and with the support of the Yixing Ceramic Industry Association, she has participated in ceramic art exchanges and demonstrations in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Russia, and Canada. Works such as A Hundred Years of Heritage, Golden Monkey Bringing Auspiciousness, Golden Rooster Auspicious Year, and Converging Roundness Teapot have been exhibited on-site abroad. Many of her works have been collected and displayed by museums in various regions.
