The teapot is a fangsheng (biomorphic) piece, inspired by the "plum stump" motif.
Old tree, new branch—the feeling it imparts is one of deep tranquility.
The stump twists, interlocks, stretches, and unfurls, spreading outward without any deliberate depiction.
On its own, the stump has found the direction of its own life.

a Prodigy of Floral-Shaped Ware in the Zisha World
Born in 1975 in Dingshu Town, Yixing , Zhu Zhihao was immersed in the art of purple clay teapot making from an early age and possesses extraordinary artistic intuition.
After graduating in 1995, he began his career in zisha teapot crafting,
consistently engaging in thoughtful reflection and bold experimentation. He excels in creating a wide variety of zisha forms, with a particular focus on flower-and-plant sculptural ware (huasuqi). His works are distinguished by vivid, expressive styles that embody the principle of "originating from nature yet transcending nature."
They not only employ a measured degree of artistic exaggeration but also emphasize an effortless, graceful flair. Moreover, Zhu pays great attention to utilizing the natural colors of zisha clay to enhance the artistic effect,
thereby presenting the aesthetic value of form and shape.
