This teapot was fully handmade by teapot studio Siyutao with authentic di cao qing clay,from huang long mine 4,ding shu town yixing city.
Based on the "ling ban" teapot created by Shi Dabin in the Ming Dynasty, we have faithfully reproduced it at a 1:1 scale to create this antique-inspired 摹古 ling ban teapot.
The Ling Ban and Yuan teapots created by Shi Dabin sold for 21,850,000 RMB at a 2009 auction, which is approximately equivalent to over 3 million US dollars.

This is a beautifully crafted teapot. It is super light and thin walled, yet stable and secure. It is the only luni teapot I own and the only half handmade luni pot that I have ever seen and, as such, is available at an incredible price. The clay crystals have an amazing look to them. The design and size at 90ml is perfect for solo gonfu and the pour is just right. If your passion is collecting and using special zisha clay pots, this one really can't be passed up.

The craftsmanship is impeimpeccable (thin walls, tight lid fit, superb water flow, high pitch "cling" sound,. . ) and the clay quality is amazing!
I use it for floral oolongs(dancong, wuyi, bāozhòng, tie guan yin) floral black teas (Keemun, usmoked lapsang), but also for more floral and fruity Sheng Pu Erhs (Gua Feng Zhai, Yiwu, Jingmai, Bangdong,. . ) and it brews all of them to perfection (aroma & mouth feel).
