Born in 1963 in Yixing, Li Ni (李霓) began her training at the Yixing Zisha (Purple Clay) Art Factory in December 1980, where she apprenticed under Li Bifang and Hu Yongcheng to learn the techniques of pot-making. In 1983, after evaluations, she was selected for advanced training at the factory's research institute, where she studied under Master Xu Hantang. In 1986, she undertook further external studies. Upon returning to the factory, she continued her training in design and creation under her mother, Shen Juhua, eventually beginning to independently design and produce her own works. Through years of dedicated practice, she has gradually developed and established her own distinctive artistic style.

Her works have repeatedly won national awards and have been exhibited both domestically and internationally to widespread acclaim. Accolades include Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards at the Chinese Master of Arts and Crafts Fine Works Exhibitions, a First Prize at the 2nd Light Industry Arts and Crafts Design Exhibition & Review, and a Silver Award at the "Yibo Cup" Arts and Crafts Fine Works Exhibition.

Her works are held in the collections of the Jilin Provincial Museum, Hubei Provincial Museum, Malaysia's First Modern Art Gallery, and the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Fine Art Gallery.
