Description
This Yixing teapot is called shui ping, with a minimalist, classic shape.
The capacity of this yixing teapot is 145ml.
This piece was fully handmade by teapot artist Sun Bo 孙博 with yixing zisha da hong pao clay.
This 100 % pure da hong pao，come from Huang long mine 4, Dingshu Town, Yixing city. 100% Natural Ore.
This magnified view of the teapot’s surface clearly reveals the natural mineral composition of Da Hong Pao clay, including visible specks of mica, quartz, and iron.
This Da Hong Pao clay has an extremely high shrinkage rate of between 40% and 50%. As a result, the success rate for making jinwen (ribbed) teapots from it is very low—only about 20%. The Shuiping teapot you see here is one of Sun Bo's most successful works.

This is a beautifully crafted teapot. It is super light and thin walled, yet stable and secure. It is the only luni teapot I own and the only half handmade luni pot that I have ever seen and, as such, is available at an incredible price. The clay crystals have an amazing look to them. The design and size at 90ml is perfect for solo gonfu and the pour is just right. If your passion is collecting and using special zisha clay pots, this one really can't be passed up.

The craftsmanship is impeimpeccable (thin walls, tight lid fit, superb water flow, high pitch "cling" sound,. . ) and the clay quality is amazing!
I use it for floral oolongs(dancong, wuyi, bāozhòng, tie guan yin) floral black teas (Keemun, usmoked lapsang), but also for more floral and fruity Sheng Pu Erhs (Gua Feng Zhai, Yiwu, Jingmai, Bangdong,. . ) and it brews all of them to perfection (aroma & mouth feel).
