This teapot was fully handmade by teapot artist Fan zhiping 范志平。
Fan Zhiping 范志平, Silver Award winner of the Jingzhou Cup. He began studying Zisha (purple clay) modeling and design in 1999 and specializes in fully handmade flower-shaped teapots 花器. He studied under Cao Yalin 曹亚麟 , a National Master of Arts and Crafts.
The raw material of this teapot is high-quality Yixing Zisha Qing Duanni clay from huang long mine 4, ding shu town, yixing city. Below is a close-up partial enlargement of this teapot, where you can clearly see the particles and sandy texture of the clay.

This is a beautifully crafted teapot. It is super light and thin walled, yet stable and secure. It is the only luni teapot I own and the only half handmade luni pot that I have ever seen and, as such, is available at an incredible price. The clay crystals have an amazing look to them. The design and size at 90ml is perfect for solo gonfu and the pour is just right. If your passion is collecting and using special zisha clay pots, this one really can't be passed up.

The craftsmanship is impeimpeccable (thin walls, tight lid fit, superb water flow, high pitch "cling" sound,. . ) and the clay quality is amazing!
I use it for floral oolongs(dancong, wuyi, bāozhòng, tie guan yin) floral black teas (Keemun, usmoked lapsang), but also for more floral and fruity Sheng Pu Erhs (Gua Feng Zhai, Yiwu, Jingmai, Bangdong,. . ) and it brews all of them to perfection (aroma & mouth feel).
