Culture background
This teapot shape was first designed by Qu Yingshao (also known as Ziyeshipiao), a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty. Qu was skilled in poetry, painting, and calligraphy. He often worked with master teapot makers to combine art, poetry, and seals into Yixing clay teapots, giving them a refined and scholarly charm. With his expertise in "calligraphy, painting, and teapot design," he created a timeless classic—the Ziyeshipiao teapot.
