Born in Yixing in December 1968, Chen Yiqun joined the Zisha Craft Factory in 1986, where her first teacher was Senior Master of Arts and Crafts Bao Li’an. In 1990, she became a disciple of National Master Gu Shaopei, who offered her meticulous guidance. Rooted in tradition and committed to innovation, she collaborates with her husband Zhuang Yulin on purple clay ceramic art. In 1994, she attended a training course on Zisha design at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. Many of her works have won awards and been collected by museums:

In May 2010, the Zhufang Teapot won the Innovation Gold Award from the Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association (Society).

In November 2011, the Liu Liu Da Shun Teapot won the Silver Award from the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Industry Association (Society).

In December 2011, the Huayu Teapot won the Gold Award jointly presented by the Korea Ceramic Culture Association and the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Industry Association.

In July 2011, the Huayu Fang Teapot was collected by the Shanxi Art Museum.
