Xia Qing is an accomplished teapot artist specializing in the historic Zisha (Yixing clay) tradition. A member of the China Ceramic Industry Association, he was awarded the Gold Award for Traditional Arts and Crafts at the prestigious 13th China Masterpiece Expo.

Born in 1988 in Dingshu, Yixing—the heartland of Chinese Zisha pottery—Xia Qing was immersed in its culture from a young age. He pursued formal art education in 2008, studying under the mentorship of several renowned masters. This foundational training, deep-rooted in his hometown heritage, has enabled him to develop a distinctive artistic style that both honors and innovates upon classical forms.
