One of life’s greatest wonders is coexisting with the extraordinary animals that share our world. These creatures play a vital part in our ecosystem and our imagination. Art extends their stories beyond jungles and oceans to live alongside us in our homes and daily lives. The artists who capture wildlife’s beauty and our bond with them are uniquely able to spark our curiosity and compassion. By doing so, they become powerful advocates and educators who inspire us all to protect the future of the planet.
Varied are the creatures that roam the earth; so too are the artistic expressions that honor them. Animals often serve as symbolic representations, as seen in artist Wei Ren’s mythological narratives. Steeped in Chinese indigenous tradition, her depictions of cats and dragons reflect an inextricable bond between humanity and nature.
This digital exhibition brings together 15 perspectives to highlight a universal reverence for Earth’s biodiversity. Experience art as advocacy as our Master share her tributes to wildlife in 35 vibrant, transportive, and uplifting teaware artworks.
