Born in 1972 in Yixing, the capital of pottery, Xu graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts and studied under master potters Pan Chunfang 潘春芳, Xu Chengquan 许成权, and Tang Minggao 汤鸣皋. With nearly thirty years of research and creation in ceramic art, she explores the contemporary imprint of purple clay (zisha) at the intersection of tradition and modernity, inheritance and innovation, elegance and subtlety, while carrying forward the essence of traditional ceramic craftsmanship. Her artistic research and creative output have received wide recognition across the field.
