Mou Jinfen (牟锦芬) is currently engaged in Zisha teapot creation at the Jiangsu Yixing Zisha Pottery Factory. She studied under He Tingchu, a Jiangsu Master of Arts and Crafts and Senior Fine Arts Artist. Born in November 1963 in Yixing, the “Pottery Capital,” she furthered her training in 1983 at the Ceramics Department of the Central Academy of Arts & Design (now part of Tsinghua University), where she received guidance from professors such as Yang Yongshan, Zhang Shouzhi, Wang Xiaolin, and Wang Jianzhong.

In 1993, she was honored as one of Yixing’s “Top Ten” Women in Science and Technology.

Her works, including Line Rhythm Teapot, Early February Teapot, and Stone Charm Pair Teapots, have repeatedly won gold, silver, and bronze awards at national ceramic art competitions.

Spring Drizzle received the 6th Golden Ceramics Award in Taiwan in 2000.

Racing Currents was awarded the Excellence Prize at the 1st World Ceramic Biennale in Korea in 2001.
Line Rhythm Teapot was added to the collection of the State Council of China in 2005.

Throughout her career, Mou Jinfen has developed an artistic style that blends vitality with serenity, refinement with breadth, and innovation with classical discipline.
