Profile
Born in January 1964, Huai Qifang graduated in Ceramic Art Design from Jiangsu Ceramics School in 1982. Over a career spanning 35 years, she has devoted herself to ceramic form and decoration, skillfully harnessing the distinct qualities of various clays and glazes to enhance her artistic expression. Her works are thoughtfully constructed, blending materiality with form, and range from fresh and elegant to rich and classical—each piece bearing a distinctive style and clear personal signature.

Second and Third Prizes in the National Ceramic Art Design Competitions

Notable Collections & Events
Her Yixing clay commemorative teapot, Setting Sail, is held in the special collection of the Nanhu Revolutionary History Museum.

Participated in the 4th UK-China Art & Design Exchange, certified by Kevin Thomas, Dean of International Affairs at Teesside University, UK.

Took part in the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China event at Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall, donating her specially designed teapot, Setting Sail, for permanent collection.

Contributed works Long Companionship and Ripples of Light Rain to the “May Flowers” National Female Ceramic Artists Exhibition during the inauguration events of the Female Ceramic Artists Committee of China Ceramic Industry Association.
