Born in 1965, Chen Fuqiang （陈富强） entered Yixing Ceramics School in 1982. He later pursued further studies at Zhengzhou University, Sichuan Agricultural University, and Nanjing Academy of Arts, earning a bachelor’s degree. In 1994, he was sponsored by the government for a one-year ceramics training program in Japan.

Under the long-term guidance and influence of renowned industrial design authority Professor Zhang Fuchang, Chen has been engaged in innovative design of ceramic products since 1986. He has achieved significant results in the research of ceramic materials, form, and decoration. His works in purple clay and ceramic art have garnered over a hundred national design and utility model patents, along with dozens of national and provincial-level arts and crafts awards.

Chen has been honored as a Jiangsu Provincial Master of Arts and Crafts, received municipal awards for scientific and technological achievements, and was recognized as a Municipal New Long March Trailblazer. In 2013, he was promoted to Senior Industrial Arts Designer. He has been appointed as a visiting professor and industry professor by several institutions and holds roles such as Council Member of the Jiangsu Industrial Design Society, Vice Chairman of the Yixing Ceramic Society, and Member of the Ceramic Art Committee of the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Society.
