Description
In the world of Zisha collecting, what is truly rare is never merely the clay, but the craftsmanship that dares to push the limits. “Laifu,”bring Wealth, Zhou Chengxian’s latest fully handmade masterpiece, employs the highly demanding fully handmade jiaoni (clay-marbling) technique to interweave Qingduan clay, Dichaoqing clay, and lao zini clay into an ancient Chinese coin motif, symbolizing gathered wealth and lasting prosperity. Jiaoni tests an artist’s precise control over clay properties, pressure, and kiln fire: different clays have different shrinkage rates and respond differently to temperature, and even the slightest deviation can cause the piece to fail in the kiln. The success rate of fully handmade jiaoni is therefore extremely low. With steady and exquisite skill, Zhou Chengxian allows the three clay colors to blend naturally, while the coin pattern remains crisp and vivid, rich in antique charm yet possessing a contemporary aesthetic. This teapot can be used for daily tea drinking, and can also be passed down as a high-value, collector-grade object. Each teapot is unique and unrepeatable, a true Zisha treasure combining high appreciation potential with artistic value.
