Material: yixing zisha zhu ni, purple clay directly from Yixing City, Ding Shu town, authentic yixing clay.

Zhuni teapots feature a smooth, reddish luster. When fired at high kiln temperatures, the clay shrinks considerably. More compact than other clays, Zhuni is highly effective at preserving tea aroma. For this reason, Zhuni teapots are an ideal choice for brewing highly aromatic teas.

Volume: 110ml = 3.7 fl oz

Pour test: excellent

Each teapot we offer is carefully inspected,we test for a smooth pour, a comfortable grip, and meticulous craftsmanship in every detail. In addition, we provide detailed, high-resolution photos for your reference.

Very suitable for gongfutea:

Crafted specifically for Chinese tea service, this pot is formed from Yixing Zhuni ore. The clay's compact, micro-porous matrix is ideally suited to unlocking a tea's full fragrance profile. A rapid discharge rate further refines the brew, minimizing bitterness in favor of a pronounced and lasting hui gan finish.

At Siyutao, what we provide is never an embellished illusion, but unreserved authenticity. For every teapot, you will see a substantial number of high-resolution original photos absolutely no retouching or beautifying. The texture of the clay body, the depth of color, the traces of handcraftsmanship all are presented truthfully, exactly as they are. Beyond that, we also capture real-life videos of the teapot in actual use, including a dedicated pouring test, so that critical details such as water flow and spout performance are rendered entirely transparent. This undoubtedly demands several times the time and effort, yet we firmly believe that only such an uncompromising commitment to truth can truly safeguard your interests. What you see is what you get.

You can find that the craftsmanship of half handmade a teapot is also very complicated.

The half-handmade method is also called "press-molding." It does not involve stamping clay with a machine. Instead, the artisan first beats the clay into a body, then places it into a plaster mold and carefully presses it outward from the inside by hand to define its shape. Once the body is set, the mold is opened, and the pot undergoes further refinement. Except for the main body, which relies on the mold for precise shape, every other step — the rolling of the spout and handle, the joining of all components, and the immensely skillful "mingzhen" 明针 burnishing — is entirely done by hand.
