Shen Juhua
Shen Juhua was born in January 1939 in Dingshu Town, Yixing, Jiangsu.
In 1955, she entered the Yixing Zisha Pottery Factory. There, she apprenticed under master Gu Jingzhou. She graduated in 1958.
She has held various roles, including technical instructor, researcher at the Zisha Research Institute, and chief art designer at Yixing Hongcheng Ceramic Art Company and Yixing Changhua Ceramic Art Company.
She has been working in the Zisha art field for 61 years.

Artistic Features
Her works are elegant, simple, and pure. They follow traditional styles but also show innovation. Her pieces have a scholarly style.
With guidance from Professor Gao Zhuang and her teacher, Gu Jingzhou, she and her husband, Li Changhong, researched Zisha jade-clay decoration.
They successfully developed a new technique.
This technique creates Zisha jade-clay works with patterns that are the same inside and outside.
Main Achievements
From 1979 to 1982, she was twice named "National March 8th Red Flag Holder" by the All-China Women's Federation.
Her works have been exhibited in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, and other regions. They were widely praised.
Her works have won many national and provincial gold and silver awards.
The "Bamboo Slip Tea Set," created with Li Changhong, won the gold award at the 1984 Leipzig International Fair in Germany. This brought honor to Yixing, the city renowned for its pottery.
She co-authored books with Li Changhong, such as "Zitian Gengtao" and "Ziyuan Bitan." These works help spread Zisha culture.
Her achievements are recorded in "Contemporary Yixing Ceramic Artists Collection" and the UK's "Cambridge 1997 Famous People Record."
