The "Tianji Teapot" features designs and calligraphy engraved on its body by Master Tan Quanhai. The two are perfectly combined and complement each other, achieving an artistic effect in which each enhances the other and making the work more valuable for collection. This Tianji Teapot is made of natural purple clay, with an antique simplicity and a warm, mellow texture. The teapot body is round and full, standing on three small upturned feet in a tripod arrangement, adorable and compact. The essence of this teapot lies in its spout, which is shaped like a rooster’s head: its phoenix-like eyes are wide open and full of spirit, its comb stands erect, and its breast is covered with plump, clearly and orderly arranged feathers. The upper end of the handle is shaped like a dragon’s head, turned outward, as if it is swallowing and spouting a jet of water; the jet curves and extends to form the handle, creating a unique and novel design. Above the ring-shaped neck is a flat lid. Ingeniously, the knob is designed as two eggs lying horizontally in the center of the lid, full of playful charm.
