Fan Yongliang

Born in 1943 in Dingshu Town, Yixing, Jiangsu Province, Fan Yongliang joined the Yixing Zisha Pottery Factory in 1958 and became a disciple of the renowned craft master Jiang Rong. Deeply influenced by his mentor's artistic ethics and style, he inherited Jiang Rong’s exceptional skills and developed a solid foundation in craftsmanship. Specializing in floral-themed works, Fan emphasizes the expression of form, spirit, and vitality, blending traditional aesthetics with modern sensibilities. He is recognized as one of the leading figures in classical floral-style Zisha teaware.

Fan Yongliang is making teapots

In 1980, he co-founded the Jiangsu Yixing No. 2 Zisha Pottery Factory, serving successively as Production Director, Chief Artisan, and Party Branch Secretary. Since 1986, he has been a judge for technical title evaluations in Yixing and participated in provincial-level new product assessments for Jiangsu’s Light Industry and Ceramic sectors. His representative works include Watermelon Teapot, Frog-Lotus Teapot, and Jade Flat Teapot, many of which have won awards in domestic and international exhibitions.
