The Yixing Zisha Craft Factory of Jiangsu Province (Zisha Factory No. 1) was established at the end of 1954 by seven veteran artists, Wu Yungen, Pei Shimin, Ren Gan Ting, Wang Yinchun, Zhu Kexin, Gu Jingzhou and Jiang Rong, who were purple clay artists who made pottery and carved pottery at the time. Over the past 40 years, it has trained many national masters, provincial masters, provincial celebrities, and senior arts and crafts artists of purple clay. The fine purple clay products created and produced are endless, and it was glorious for a time. It was not until 1997 that the state-owned enterprise was transformed into a private enterprise, a milestone in purple clay's history.
