Born in 1960 in Dingshu Town, Yixing. In the early 1980s, Yong Shuying (勇淑英) studied ceramic design at Jiangsu Yixing Ceramic Industry School and ceramic decoration design at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. She was assigned to work at a ceramic factory in Dingshu Town, Yixing. For over thirty years, she has dedicated herself to ceramic art design and research.

Drawing on her accumulated artistic foundation and expertise in painting and calligraphy, she integrates design, decoration, making, carving, painting, and painting into her work, creating a series of purple sand ceramic pieces. She excels at utilizing the characteristics of different ceramic materials to highlight the unique qualities of each piece. Her works are characterized by a rustic yet sweet elegance, innovative concepts, unique perspectives, a fusion of tradition and modernity, and a distinctive personal style. Her works have been featured in many prestigious ceramic art exhibitions both domestically and internationally, winning more than thirty national awards in art competitions, including gold, silver, and百花 (Hundred Flowers) awards. Dozens of her works are housed in museum collections such as the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution, China Purple Sand Museum, and Henan Provincial Museum. She has published dozens of papers on ceramic techniques and styles in national core journals and provincial magazines, and nearly thirty of her works hold design patents.
