Representative Work
“Huazhiqiao” Teapot (Flower Branches in Bloom)
The teapot body is slightly flattened, mellow, and solid; the ring foot gives the otherwise flattened, round form an added sense of composure. Both the spout and handle are decorated with plum branches. The upright spout is elegant and unrestrained; the handle’s center of gravity is lowered, rising slightly and then sliding down gracefully, with a plum branch extending from its upper part and winding toward the body, where plum blossoms bloom vividly and stand proudly. The arched branch serves as the knob, full of resilience, with a plum branch slanting outward; the blossoms echo the body, together defying the winter snow. The fresh, quiet pastoral atmosphere is delightful, and the spirit of unyielding integrity is admirable.
