Fang Yang is a 23-year-old Craftsman, now in 2025. After graduating from Yixing Ceramics School, he continued to make teapots for three years. This is his half-handcrafted Rongtian teapot. The material is authentic Yixing zisha lao zi ni.

Cultural Background

This shape first emerged in the 20th century and later became a classic. Its design draws inspiration from the image of "Budai Heshang" (the Potbellied Arhat) in Buddhist culture—aptly named after the philosophy that "a broad belly can embrace all worldly matters."
The teapot features a plump, vibrant body topped with a slightly short neck, while its lid is elevated into a hemispherical shape, adding a touch of naive charm. Visually, it exudes stability and grace, embodying profound elegance through its simplicity.
