Fang Yang is a 23-year-old Craftsman, now in 2025. After graduating from Yixing Ceramics School, he continued to make teapots for three years. This is his half-handcrafted Rongtian teapot. The material is authentic Yixing zisha lao zi ni.

Cultural Background
This shape first emerged in the 20th century and later became a classic. Its design draws inspiration from the image of "Budai Heshang" (the Potbellied Arhat) in Buddhist culture—aptly named after the philosophy that "a broad belly can embrace all worldly matters."

This is a beautifully crafted teapot. It is super light and thin walled, yet stable and secure. It is the only luni teapot I own and the only half handmade luni pot that I have ever seen and, as such, is available at an incredible price. The clay crystals have an amazing look to them. The design and size at 90ml is perfect for solo gonfu and the pour is just right. If your passion is collecting and using special zisha clay pots, this one really can't be passed up.

Hands down the best Yixing teapot I own (and I own a few including an authentic F1 Hongni from the 1970's)!
The craftsmanship is impeimpeccable (thin walls, tight lid fit, superb water flow, high pitch "cling" sound,. . ) and the clay quality is amazing!
I use it for floral oolongs(dancong, wuyi, bāozhòng, tie guan yin) floral black teas (Keemun, usmoked lapsang), but also for more floral and fruity Sheng Pu Erhs (Gua Feng Zhai, Yiwu, Jingmai, Bangdong,. . ) and it brews all of them to perfection (aroma & mouth feel).
